VALENCIA
Gay Games 2026

For equality, diversity and inclusion, come and participate in the Gay Games XII Valencia 2026.

In 2026, our city will host a major sporting and cultural event held every four years, open to everyone.

It will be a unique opportunity to experience diversity, respect, and celebration at a gathering where everyone is welcome.

What are the Gay Games?

The Gay Games is a 10-day event celebrating sports and culture, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ identities and our allies.

You, along with thousands of other participants, will compete for a chance to win medals in your category.  You’ll join the parade and enjoy the concerts at our Opening Ceremony.

You’ll spend your days…

  • Playing sports
  • Enjoying music and culture
  • Making new friends from around the world at our Gay Games Village.

You will also celebrate our achievements at the Closing Ceremony. And you’ll go home with some incredible memories, and hopefully a medal as well.

Celebrate diversity, participate,
have fun, and make new friends!

You’ll have the chance to purchase your spot at the Gay Games, either as a participant or as a spectator. General registration includes:

  • Full access to the Village throughout the entire event.
  • Participation in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
  • Free entry to six consecutive days of concerts and cultural activities.
  • Admission as a spectator to all official sports and cultural venues, except for the Pink Flamingo, private parties and VIP events.
  • A welcome bag with event materials.
  • A public transportation pass.
  • Access to rest areas, information points, basic medical services, hydration stations, and other logistical services included in the participant experience.

Your registration also helps cover key aspects such as security, overall logistics, sustainability, accessibility, and campaigns that promote and raise visibility for inclusive sports.

Plus, you can add on any sports you want to play as extras.

The registration form is managed by the Federation of Gay Games, and registration is done through their system. There is only one version, in English.

Book your flights and accomodation

As the event gets closer, we’ll send you all the information about Valencia, including the locations of the main events and spaces, as well as where your sports activities will take place. You can use this information to book accommodation in the best area for you, and to arrange your flights.

Need help planning your trip?

Our official travel agency has you covered with unbeatable prices.

In addition, if you come as a group, send us your request to info@transviasport.com and we will be happy to help you.

Your flight lands, you check into your accommodation, and you’re ready to head straight to accreditation.

There, one of our team members will give you your access badge, event information, and a goody bag full of surprises.

Who knows, you might even find a participation medal in there!

One of the first events you’ll experience is the epic Opening Ceremony.

It begins with the emotional and inspiring parade of participants, each marching behind their home country’s banner. You’ll either watch from the stands or, if you’re competing, you’ll be part of the parade.

What follows is an evening of spectacle—shows, dance, readings, award presentations, concerts, and much more.

Not to be missed!

Throughout the week, you’ll take part in the sports and cultural activities you registered for.

Depending on your selections, these might take place over several days or just one.

We’ll make sure you have all the details in advance so you can plan any free time to explore the city and surrounding areas.

Throughout the week, you’ll have plenty of exciting activities to enjoy.

A favorite tradition is the International Rainbow Memorial Run—a fun run open to everyone through the city streets.

The Memorial Moment is a time for reflection, honoring those we’ve lost over the years.

There will also be a variety of concerts, workshops, talks, and classes—all included with your accreditation.

At the end of each sport or cultural activity, there will be a medal ceremony for those participants who gave it their all and came out on top.

We’ll award medals to everyone who places 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their category, and our photographer will be there to capture your moment on the podium.

When all the activities are over and the medals have been awarded, we’ll celebrate one last time with another spectacular ceremony—packed with entertainment and music—to officially close the Games. Until the next edition, in four years!

It's not all about competition, enjoy yourself at the Gay Games Village

When you’re not busy with competitions or activities, you’ll always have a home base at the Festival Village.

This venue is the main meeting spot for all Gay Games participants and will host a variety of entertainment. It’s the perfect place to relax after your events, meet new friends, and enjoy local performances.

SPORTS

A total of 37 sports open to the participation of all genders. In addition, in exhibition mode, two local disciplines open and inclusive, for you to discover and practice them in the best possible place: colpbol and pilota valenciana.
